The Albacete Symphony Orchestra is celebrating its twentieth anniversary with a special program to be performed in two concerts and to which Conrado Moya has been invited to participate as marimba soloist. The concerts will take place in the Teatro Circo in Albacete (Friday, October 28th, 21:00h) and in the Auditorium in Fuentealbilla (Saturday, October 29th, 19:00h).
In both events, Conrado Moya will perform Anna Ignatowicz’s Concerto for Marimba, Trumpet and Orchestra sharing the stage with trumpet player José Antonio García and with Juan Luis Martínez conducting the orchestra.
Polish composer Anna Ignatowicz-Glińska, author of the piece and considered one of the outstanding composers for marimba at the present time, is a favorite of Conrado’s who recorded one of her pieces (Silence Pierced by Distraction) on his album Silentium and played her Toccata on a video. He also had the pleasure of premiering the Concerto for Marimba, Trumpet and Orchestra in Spain two years ago, this work having now become established in his orchestra repertoire.
The program for these special concerts will also feature the Concerto for Violin and Orchestra No. 2 by Niccolò Paganini, with Pablo Suárez as soloist, and the symphonic suite Scheherazade by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.
Tickets for both events are now available. For the concert at the Teatro Circo in Albacete, tickets are available online (click here), as well as at the ticket office of the theatre.
