This November Conrado Moya will be on tour in Canada and the US with a full agenda of performances as marimba soloist, in duo and marimba quartet and will also be giving various Master Classes. Toronto will be the starting point for a tour that will conclude in Indianapolis with his participation at PASIC 2016, the most prestigious percussion convention world-wide.
The tour will begin in Canada on November 3, at the University of Toronto (Faculty of Music, 7pm), where Conrado will give a Master Class as well as a marimba duo recital together with the international marimba soloist Katarzyna Myćka.
Following on from this, Conrado and Katarzyna will travel to Decatur (Indiana), where they will give Master Classes on November 6 (1pm, Conrado; 2:30pm, Katarzyna) and a marimba duo concert at 7:30pm in the Perkinson Music Center of Millikin University. As well as the Master Classes, students will have the chance to receive individual lessons from the soloists during their residence in Toronto and Decatur.
The tour will continue in Indianapolis (Indiana), where Conrado will perform as a member of Marimba Quartet together with his colleagues Katarzyna Myćka, Filip Mercep and Juan David Forero. The concert will take place at Lawrence Central HS Auditorium on November 8 at 8pm.
From November 9 – 12, Conrado will be attending PASIC 2016 (Percussive Arts Society International Convention) as an invited artist. The Convention takes place annually in Indianapolis and is considered to be the most relevant percussion convention world-wide. During these days, he will be present at the Marimba One booth where he may be heard performing as soloist and where people attending the Convention will have the opportunity of meeting Conrado personally.
Finally, to mark the end of this 2016 tour, Conrado will perform again as a member of Marimba Quartet at PASIC on Friday, November 11 at 1pm, in the Wabash Ballroom of the Indiana Convention Center, where he will also play various duo pieces together with Katarzyna Myćka.
