The Goldberg Variations for marimba duo to be premiered in Germany and Spain

Goldberg Variations - Katarzyna Mycka and Conrado MoyaIn 1741, Johann Sebastian Bach published what would become not only one of his masterpieces, but one of the most important works of his time and a reference in the History of Music. On the 275th anniversary of its publication, the Goldberg Variations BWV 988 return to the scenes by the hand of Katarzyna Myćka and Conrado Moya in a unique marimba duo version.

The aria and 30 variations that make up this work -more than 70 minutes of uninterrupted music- represent a huge technical and musical challenge. A challenge that the soloists Katarzyna Myćka and Conrado Moya bring to their instrument in a marimba duo format and in its full extension -an unprecedented version-. Both performers decided to face this project with absolute rigour, respecting the essence of the original score without any arrangement.
